About Me

 

I enjoy making smart, bold, beautiful work with brands and people I believe in. And as a DEI advocate, I also believe that the most effective, breakthrough creative comes from teams that are diverse and collaborative.

My background merges expertise in social with a foundation in traditional brand advertising – integrating a brand through all touchpoints. As Executive Creative Director of Golin LA, I bring a culture-forward approach to social and earned-first campaigns across the network, for brands like McDonald’s, Nintendo, and Walmart. Previous to Golin, I led eBay social creative and other culture-forward accounts at The Many, and at Twitter I led creative for both the DEI + ERG group and Global Business Marketing. My passion is creative that taps where culture and brands intersect.

As ECD of WONGDOODY I developed the Wongtern internship program, launched the Women in Advertising scholarship, led a refresh of the agency identity, and helped WONGDOODY win an Ad Age’s Small Agency of the Year award, twice. I also co-founded the consultancy June Cleaver is Dead (now rebranded The Motherboard) which explores how marketers can better understand and connect with moms today.

Before that as Creative Director at Creature in Seattle, I ran the agency's two biggest clients, Dickies and Truvia. I also helped launch the "In An Absolut World" campaign for Absolut Vodka, the brand's first new campaign in 20 years, while at TBWA Chiat/Day New York.

My awards include Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Communications Arts Design Annual and Ad Annual – and I have judged One Show, Communication Arts, The 3% Movement Athena Awards, the AdAge Small Agency Awards, Clios, The Shortys, and whole lotta regional shows. I’m a proud MAIP alumni, 2020 MAIP Coach, and supporter of female leadership, diverse teams, and introverts. I am also proud to be the mom to fifteen-year old identical twin boys.

As ECD of Golin LA, I’m focused on social and earned-first creative that gets attention, connects with culture and resonates with audiences. Overseeing creative for McDonald’s, Nintendo, Bosch and Thermador appliances, and more.

THE MANY / GCD

2021 - 2022

At The Many, I was the creative lead on eBay across all verticals, Google, The Bouqs, and multiple new business wins – responsible for the leadership of multiple teams and the creative output across culture-forward accounts, with an emphasis on social. I was also the Executive Sponsor and founding member of AAPI @ The Many.

Contract / CD @Twitter

2018 - 2021

As a CD at Twitter for two years, I was the co-lead on Global Business Marketing, creative lead for all Inclusion & Diversity campaigns for the Employee Resource Groups, and member of the Senior Leadership Team for Twitter's internal agency. Working with both internal and external creative teams and cross-functional partners, I ran integrated activations and campaigns for the brand, bringing experience design, social, and video together to tell one powerful story.

As a freelancer I’ve worked across a range of clients, including leading Tokyo-based FLOWFUSHI as Global Creative Director, helping the brand prepare for a 2019 rebrand/relaunch for the global market and US launch.
