McDonald’s fans and Marvel fans are next level. So when it leaked that in Loki Season 2, the God of Mischief’s time travels bring him to an 80s McDonald’s, fans started to talk and speculate.

As the brand was about to launch their As Featured In Meal featuring Loki, we saw the opportunity to put McDonald’s in the center of the conversation and fuel the fandom by doing something true Loki fans would appreciate….delivering an experience straight out of 1982. 

So we took one McDonald’s in Brooklyn and transformed every detail to 1982, from uniforms, to McDonaldland nostalgia, and actual Loki costumes and props from season 2. Converting nearly every element and surface of the restaurant . Including taking the menu down to 80s prices.

Three days in one Brooklyn location drove a national conversation, beating expectations on social engagement by 6 times and over 1k media mentions. Showing that when you deliver for fans, they deliver back.
